Inbound marketing has exploded over the last few years, and HubSpot is leading the charge – in fact, CEO Brian Halligan coined the term “inbound marketing.” Who better to learn from if you’re interested in using content, social media, personalized emails, and other inbound marketing tools to build your business?
That’s what the Knoxville HubSpot User Group is for, and it’s open to everyone. VIEO Design is proud to lead one of the more than 100 HubSpot User Groups (or HUGs) worldwide, and we’d humbly say that we plan to be one of the best.
Wait, we’re from Knoxville – we plan to be THE best! Brick by brick, baby.
Here are 5 reasons you should join the Knoxville HUG:
#1 – You don’t have to be a HubSpot user to join – or to benefit.
The Knoxville HubSpot User Group is a community for Knoxville’s inbound marketers and HubSpot users – and anyone who’s interested in becoming either one. The topics won’t all require access to HubSpot software; we’ll also talk about best practices for social media, blogging, SEO, and much more. Anyone who is interested in the topic is welcome to attend!
#2 – HUG meetups are free advanced marketing training.
We’re not here to waste anyone’s time, or to make a sales pitch (in fact, we’re not even allowed to make a sales pitch by HUG rules). HUG meetings are all about inbound marketing education and HubSpot software tips, so you know you’ll get valuable information (and free coffee/beer/snacks) whenever you come. We’re never above bribing people with food.
#3 – The HUG community extends beyond the meetups.
In between meetups (or whenever you have to skip one because of an emergency surgery or lottery win), you can still participate via the Knoxville HUG LinkedIn group. It’s a great place to ask questions and share expertise, not to mention great inbound marketing resources you find. If there’s a topic you’d like to see addressed, you can always ask your peers in our LinkedIn group or even suggest it as a meetup topic.
#4 – You’ll learn from your peers’ successes and failures.
Each meeting is an excellent chance to share success stories, ask questions, and hear tips for using inbound marketing to get more leads and earn more business. Best of all, this inbound marketing knowledge has been tried and tested in your actual market – lovely Knoxville, Tennessee.
#5 – It’s targeted networking without the weekly commitment.
If you’re already a member of a networking group, we totally understand why you’d hesitate to add yet another meeting to your calendar – we have the same problem. The Knoxville HUG meets at least quarterly, but we won’t be pestering you with daily invites and reminders, and we’ll make sure that the meetings we do have really count. Plus, there’s always a LinkedIn group if you start getting lonely between meetups.
#6 – HUGs are a direct line to HubSpot and inbound marketing best practices.
One big perk of joining a HUG is that we can request for HubSpot staff members to come present at our meetups. HubSpot has worked with thousands of businesses in nearly every industry, and their knowledge about using inbound marketing to drive website traffic, improve social media engagement, and increase sales is invaluable.
