SEO Tips from Warren Buffett, Part 9: Take the Time to Plan
Have you ever heard the old adage, “measure twice, cut once”? Well, it’s good advice.

TIP #9: Don’t take action just to keep from sitting still.
SEO is hard work, and it can often give you the sense of slogging through 4 feet of mud in last year’s flip-flops.
Don’t allow yourself to be lulled by lots of hard work that brings slow progress into thinking that you should do something big to get things rolling.
If you jump on a jet ski in that mud pit and hit full throttle, you’ll kick up a lot of mud, but you won’t achieve anything other than burning out your engine.
Today in our series of SEO tips: If you’re not satisfied with what’s happening, first determine what, if anything is wrong. Then, and only then, take action.
Go to your reports and review what’s been done, and think about what hasn’t been done. Next, build a solid plan for what to do based on the best resources you can find that discuss your problem.
Remember: ready, aim, fire. No other procedure should be considered.
