The new year is a time for meeting new goals and with 2018 just underway, we’re determined to start it off right. To keep pace with our current project load and the influx of new and exciting projects we’ll be taking on, our award-winning team at VIEO Design needed to grow – again. After an exhaustive search and many awkward handshakes that went on for way too long (which is still a better alternative to five uninterrupted minutes of business-casual hair stroking) we welcome Lauren Nettles as our new Content Marketing Strategist.
A Knoxville native and emerging folk rap artist going by the stage name “Yung VW Bus Covered in Bottle Caps and Filled with Penny Whistles,” Lauren returns to her hometown for a spot in our warm, welcoming, and occasionally wasp-filled office. She’ll be working alongside our team and clients to design effective, search engine-optimized content marketing strategies for building customer engagement, brand recognition, and conversions.
“I enjoy both a nice sweater and a sick rhyme.”

After graduating from UT Chattanooga, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurship, Lauren went on to gain a master’s degree in publishing from University College London. She’s worked at HarperCollins and served as managing editor and marketing and communications manager for various Chattanooga-based magazines. She’s excited to start helping local businesses reach greater success through savvy content planning that resonates with their target buyer personas.
Her professional experience is a great fit for the challenging, continuously evolving demands of growth-driven marketing. Combined with a penchant for research and her outgoing personality, Lauren makes a worthy ally in both corporate espionage and bobsled racing, but we can’t wait to see her work with our customers to improve their content marketing strategies for better ROI in the coming year.
