Last year was a time of incredible growth for VIEO. Our agency continued to expand in response to the influx of creative, exciting work from new and familiar clients. We added project managers, a Director of Business Development, several confused wasps (how did they even get in?!), a Search Marketing Director – and now we’re pleased to welcome our newest member of 2017!
Mitch Transue joins us at VIEO Design as our new Business Development Associate and unwilling background dancer for our Kenny Rogers (Roasters) tribute band. His presence at the office has been a long-awaited addition. We knew we wanted someone with a background in marketing and advertising, who could hit the ground running and proactively help us meet our web design and inbound marketing goals.
Enter Mitch, who brings a keen interest in current and evolving business practices, social media marketing, and website development. And so far, he’s done a great job of managing his new responsibilities, along with our punishing choreography and rehearsal schedule.
We’re still not sure whether he prefers the use of his full first name, but we do know that he almost definitely doesn’t respond to the names Mitchum, Marshall, Grandma, or Jimothy, no matter how loudly or often we yell them.
Mitch is originally from Northern California, where gingers can more easily hide from the unforgiving sun, unlike Southern California, where cooler, much less ginger people (like the author of this blog post) often originate. He came to Tennessee 8 years ago to escape his past as a black market wombat dealer and turn his wretched life of marsupial-related crime around. Having earned a B.A. in advertising with a minor in business administration from UT Knoxville, he now spends his workweek helping to organize and optimize our business development processes.
When not helping to write proposals, craft presentations, vet leads, or secretly try on all of the Halloween wigs in our supply closet, Mitch enjoys a variety of activities. Surprisingly, most of them don’t involve the smuggling of helpless Australian wildlife. Old Mitchy Two Legs enjoys running, hiking, and making music. His dog, Knox, often accompanies him, providing general cute dog swagger during trips around the city.
Welcome, Mitch(ell)! We’re happy you’re here. We imagine Kenny Rogers is, too.
