The results for the 2015 Big Wig Awards are in, and VIEO Design has come out on top–thanks to your help!
Of our 5 nominated employees, 2 won the top honors in their categories. Ryan Ridings beat out coders from numerous local agencies to win Best Web Developer, and the trophy for Best Blogger in Knoxville went home with Emily Winsauer.
Amanda Martin, nominated for Best Social Media specialist, received the Gloves Are Off Next Year Award for coming within 5 votes of winning in her category. Amanda also won Best Costume or Wig for her spectacular Mad Hatter costume, beating out an impressive Addams Family group-costume from Smarter Searches.
Also nominated for 2015 Big Wig Awards were John Goethert, for Best Project Manager, and Holly Yalove, for both Best Digital Strategist/Analyst and Best SEO Specialist.
The Big Wigs honor the behind-the-scenes leaders of marketing and advertising in East Tennessee, and are sponsored by the American Advertising Federation of Knoxville. AAF Knoxville is the local chapter of the nation’s oldest and one of its largest advertising trade associations.
Needless to say, we all showed up to the event in our most glamorous wigs and full of VIEO team spirit. We’re particularly proud to win awards in the categories of our primary services, namely content and web design/development.
The winners of the sixth-annual Knoxville Big Wigs were announced at an awards gala on October 27nd at The Square Room. VIEO has a long history with the Big Wigs; check out our 2014 winners here and 2013 winners here.
