Melanie's years of experience as an in-house graphic designer and extensive educational background have served her well professionally. She earned a B.S. in Communications from the University of Tennessee, where she majored in Advertising and minored in Psychology and Business. She also holds an Associates degree in Communication Graphics from Pellissippi State Community College.
From initial sketches to final mockups and wireframes, Melanie’s advertising knowledge and graphic composition skills make her a consummate web designer. If she had any interest at all in dancing, she’d be a complete triple threat. Unfortunately, she has no desire to be the next J.Lo, choosing instead to focus her Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator mastery on producing an endless variety of custom web images, infographics, and layouts. Melanie is also a member of the American Institute for Graphic Arts (AIGA), serving as the board Secretary for AIGA Knoxville.
Melanie prefers to consciously uncouple from nature with a variety of indoor activities, including video games, watching movies with her husband, and admiring her collection of Funko Pop collectibles. As our resident Yarn Wizard and Master of Decorative Knitwear, her craftiness has kept us warm through several moderate Tennessee winters. She can also occasionally be found spray-painting old furniture or crocheting amigurumi characters.
